ASAP Launches New and Improved Supervisory Reasonable Suspicion and Employee Awareness Trainings

American Substance Abuse Professionals (ASAP) is excited to launch four newly enhanced, dynamic, and interactive training courses, to meet mandated regulations for supervisory reasonable suspicion and employee awareness training needs. Courses will be live on November 13, 2023.

We have training for all needs, including:

  • Supervisor Guide to Substance Use Awareness and Reasonable Suspicion Training: DOT 60/60
    • For the following DOT modes, including the FMCSA, FTA, FAA, PHMSA and USCG. This course satisfies the training requirements for supervisors mandated by the Department of Transportation regulations FAA 14 CFR 120.233 and 120.115; FMCSA 49 CFR 382.603; FTA 49 CFR 655.14; PMSHA 49 CFR 199.113(c) and 199.241; USCG 46 CFR 16.401. It includes one hour of alcohol misuse awareness training and one hour of drug abuse awareness training.
  • Supervisor Guide to Substance Use Awareness and Reasonable Suspicion Training: General Workforce 60/60
    • This course provides a foundation for managers and supervisors to understand substance abuse issues in the workplace. It provides tools for identifying behavioral indicators and methods for referring an employee for drug or alcohol testing. This course DOES NOT satisfy the training requirements for supervisors required to comply with the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Testing regulations, but does satisfy general workforce compliance, to meet state /policy mandates and possible policy requirements. It includes one hour of alcohol misuse awareness training and one hour of drug abuse awareness training.
  • Supervisor Guide to Substance Use Awareness and Reasonable Suspicion Training: DOT 60/60/FRA 60
    • For all DOT modes, includes the FRA, FMCSA, FTA, FAA, PHMSA and USCG. This course satisfies the training requirements for supervisors mandated by the Department of Transportation regulations FRA 49 CFR 219; FAA 14 CFR 120.233 and 120.115; FMCSA 49 CFR 382.603; FTA 49 CFR 655.14; PMSHA 49 CFR 199.113(c) and 199.241; USCG 46 CFR 16.401. It includes one hour of alcohol misuse awareness training, one hour of drug abuse awareness, and one hour FRA post-accident training.
  • Employee Substance Abuse Awareness Training
    • For all DOT modes & general workforce. This course provides DOT and general workforce safety-sensitive employees with the information about substance use and abuse needed to be aware of the dangers that drugs and alcohol can have on public safety. This course offers over an hour of important awareness information.
